You should be always alert to your surroundings; money, bags, documents etc. As in any city, watch out for pickpockets, and don't enter nor walk in the shabby streets. Don't be drunken. It'll be good target to get assaulted or robbed. Reporting incidents to the police is not easy. Few speak English and they are not interested.
