■How to call to Abroad from Italy
For example: To the united States
1. first, dial 00 (Italy exit code)
2. and then dial 1 (US country code)
3. and then dial Area Code (New York city : 917, 646, 212 / Los Angeles: 323, 310, 213)
4. Finally dial the phone number

■How to call to Madrid from Abroad
For example: From the united States
1. first, dial 011 (Exit code)
2. and then dial 39 (Italy's country code)
3. dial the area code (e.g Napoli is 81)
4. Finally dial the phone number

■Telephone card
You can buy a telephone card at a tobacco shop "tabacchi", a small shop "edicola", "carta telefonica" from €5.

Mail

You can buy postage stamps at post office or tabacchi.
Write the accurate names and addresses of senders and recipients in your languages or English, Italian. But please don't forget to write "VIA AEREA". The meaning is "air mail".
'PER LA CITTÀ of left side of mailbox is for city. 'PER TUTTE LE ALTRE DIREZIONE' of right side of mailbox is for outside the city and nternational postage.
'Posta Prioritaria' is an express letter service.
