Jamón serrano

Jamón serrano is a Spanish dry-cured ham which is sometimes called “Spanish prosciutto”. The ham is different from much more expensive jamón ibérico. Jamón serrano made from the landrace breed of white pig. This ham has a very mild flavor, with a low salt content. This ham can be eaten straight, wrapped vegetable or fruit, eat with bread etc. Jamón Serrano is a passion shared by all of Spain.

Tortilla

Tortilla is Spanish Egg Omelette made with potatoes fried, onion and olive oil. It is the most commonly served food in Spain and it is "the-taste-of-mother's-home-cooking" for Spaniard. You can enjoy Tortilla at any restaurant in Spain.

Croquette

A croquette is a small lightly breaded and fried sort of fritter. The ingredients for it usually, mashed potatoes and meat and sometime mixed fish or vegetable. It is creamy and smooth and very tasty and it is sure hit as an appetizer or an afternoon snack with a glass of beer or wine.

Mejillones a la marinera

It is the food mussel steamed and added tomato souse. This is one of the simplest and one of the best ways to enjoy them. There are many different recipe. You will enjoy different kinds of mussel dishes at a restaurant.

Patatas Bravas

Patatas Bravas is fried potatoes cooked in a spicy sauce. It is one of the classic Spanish tapas dishes and is served in bars all over Spain.

Pimientos de Padrón

Pimientos de Padrón is a Spanish dish of fried fresh peppers with salt. This food is a delicious flavor and most are mild. But once in a while you will bite into a spicy pepper. It is "Spanish Roulette!"

Paella

Paella is a rice dish from Spain. There are many widely known types of paella: Marinera or Marinera is seafood paella, Pollo is chicken paella, others contain pork, shellfish, fish, eel, squid, beans, peas, artichokes or peppers. Saffron, the spice that also turns the rice a wonderful golden color is an essential part of the dish.

Arroz Negro

Arroz Negro is rice and squid prepared in the own squid's ink with amazing results. It is closely related to paella. But it has special and amazing flavors.

Fideua

Fideua is basically a paella that uses pasta instead of rice. It is a very popular traditional main course. Cooked in a paella pan and made with noodles and seafood cooked in fish broth.

Bocadillo

Bocadillo is a sandwich made with Spanish bread cut lengthwise, not with sliced bread. It served everywhere from restaurants, bars, cafeterias and at home.

Ensalada de queso de cabra

Ensalada de queso de cabra is one of salad. You can enjoy the taste of goat's cheese with blue berry sauce.

Pan con tomate

Pan con tomate is kind of Tomato Bread. It the most widely eaten and the most famous Catalan dish. tomato and garlic goes well with bread.

Champiñones a la plancha con jamón

Chuletón

Chuletón is one of spanish steak. We call a boneless steak "Entrecot". It is simple seasoning, but very delicious.

Crema catalana

Crema catalana is spanish dessert. It is like crème brulée in French. It is rich and creamy and melts in your mouth. Traditionally, People eat it on on March 19th, St. Joseph’s Day.
