Business hours and Business days

・Stores
Most store's opening hours is from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday. During 2 p.m. to 5p.m., these stores are closed for lunch break "siesta". On Saturdays many small stores are open until 2 p.m. Some of major shopping malls, department stores and supermarkets stay open without a break from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

・Restaurant, cafe, Bar
Most of restaurant start from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for lunch and dinner from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cafeterias and bars usually open all day from early morning to late at night.

・Banks
Banks are open from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Some branches open on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.

・Public facilities (City hall, museum etc)
They are usually open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Where should we go shopping on Sunday ?

Most stores and malls are closed on Sundays. If you want or need to buy something, make sure you buy it until Saturday or look for a stores which is open on Sunday. Some stores on La Rambla which is the street in central Barcelona are open in Sunday for tourist. Nearly stores managed by immigrants from China, Arab are operating as usual on Sunday.

Maremagnum mall

The only shopping mall that is open on Sundays is Maremagnum mall. You can find a good selection of fashion brands at there and some good restaurants where you can have lunch or dinner with harbour views.
