■ Asakusa ■
We start with the most popular touristic site of the Asakusa area. Asakusa is one of the most traditional places in all of Tokyo. Walking though the ancestral Japanese atmosphere, you might be surprised at how Japanese religious customs are still available to anyone and how Japanese time-honored traditions have matured. You will experience the proper way to visit temples and shrines, how to purify yourself, how to pray, and what Japanese fortune telling is like. All the while, you can see Tokyo Sky Tree; the new symbol of what Japan’s state-of-the-art construction and architecture technology is all about.
■ To the East side of Tokyo ■
We’ll have a 35-minute river cruise from Asakusa to a Japanese Traditional garden of Hamarikyu. It’s a typical Japanese style garden with a pond in center and you can enjoy the gap between beautiful seasonal flowers, tranquil atmosphere and surrounding modern high-rise buildings. At a teahouse on the pond, you can taste matcha tea with sweets if you like. 10-minute walk takes you to Tsukiji fish market, and we’ll have lunch in the outer market. We are sure that you can enjoy the best sushi in the world at reasonable prices. We’ll visit another temple, Tsukiji Honganji which was built in old Indian style. Take subway to Nijubashi, the bridge of the Imperial Palace. We’ll explain to you about the Japanese Imperial family. As this tour finishes near Yurakucho station, you can enjoy shopping at nearby Ginza or have a drink at one of taverns of Yakitori alley after the tour.
We will tell you all about the following things and more!
・the manner of the traditional tea ceremony
・the system of Japanese Imperial family
