Red Torii at Gojo-Tenjin Shrine

The Gojo-Tenjin Shrine from Ueno Park is dedicated to the god of medicine and learning, but there’s also a secondary shrine dedicated to Inari, the kami of fertility, rice, agriculture and industry.
Inari shrines are usually adorned with many torii, donated by companies or families in gratitude for success. The Gojo-Tenjin Shrine is no exception, one of the entries is beautifully marked with red torii.

The stone stairway with the torii is called "Inari Hill", and there seems to be this name from the Edo era

Go down the Inari Hill, and you can see Hanazono Inari Shrine to the right.
Go on walking down, you can see Gojoten Shrine.
