From the north of Kappabashi, let's walk down the street to the south

You are at a right place if you see a sign with a kappa, a Japanese river sprite, barely seen in this picture

Nishiyama's lacquerware shop is the oldest shop of lacquer ware in Kappabashi.There are many stores like this and others of china and tableware.

Besides those stores, there are stores of kitchen knives, Nambu cast iron teapots and more. They are known for their high quality. (© TCVB)

At Ganso Syokuhin Sample-ya, you can actually make fake food samples like ones seen in the windows of restaurants. Price will be from ￥1,500 per person and you need to book for it. Reservation here: 0120-17-1839 (10:00-17:00)

The Kappabashi-dori street has its length of 800m (a half mile) and it might take a half day for you to hunt what you want if you really look for something.
