Wat Phra Pathom Chedi located in the town of Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. Nakhon Pathon is a town located 50 km west of Bangkok.


The present Phra Pathom Chedi was built during the reign of King Rama IV in 1853. Wat Phra Pathom Chedi is a first class royal monastery, and also the tallest pagoda in the world with a height of 120 meters and 234 meters wide. The temple with the long history and one of the most important place for Buddhists in Thailand. You will see many young monks and Buddha statues.
Nakhon Pathom is not so far from Bangkok. So the temple is easy to reach by car.
