The boat temple: Wat Yannawa

Wat Yannawa is a royal temple and established in the Ayutthaya period. it is very near from Saphan Taksin Station(BTS).
The temple was know as "Wat Khok Kwai" or "buffalo stable" at first. But King Rama Ⅲ changed the name to "Wat Yannawa". Because the trade between Thailand and China was performed actively at this reign . So Rama Ⅲ was built in the shape of a Chinese junk ship and the temple.
renamed.
This temple is not a famous sightseeing spot even though it has the history. But you can have well worth an hour and the temple is difficult to miss when you are Bangkok.
