Monument Church

Only surviving Tatar fortress in Russia

The Kazan Kremlin, the citadel of Tatarstan, was built on an ancient site "Kazan khans" at Ivan's the Terrible command. consists of an outstanding group of historic buildings of 16th-19th century which represent an outstanding example of a synthesis of Tatar and Russian influences in architecture, integrating different cultures as well as showing the impact of Islam and Christianity. Kazan Kremlin was included in UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

Kul Sharif Mosque

It's the largest mosque in Russia. It was originally built in the 16th century, but it was destroyed by Ivan the Terrible in 1552. In 2005, mosque was rebuilt with modern design housing museum on the ground floor inside.

Annunciation Cathedral

This oldest church is the oldest building in Kazan Kremlin. It was build between 1556 and 1562. Over the centuries, it suffered from many damages from fire. In 2005, after long restoration, it opened again to accept prayers.
