Outstanding church along small canal

This dinstinctive church was completed by Alexander III in 1907 in memory of his father Alexander II who was assassined by terrorist group in 1881. Interior is colorful and brightened by varied collection of mosaic icons created on golden walls. Pillars and ceiling are adorned with beautiful mosaic all over. One of the most impressive elements of the church is the extravagant shrine constructed on the spot where Alexander II was fatally wounded.
