Enormous museum complex boast its collection

The State Hermitage is one of the famous and largest museums in the world. It consists of 5 museum complex: Winter Palace (the former state of residence of the Russian emperors), Small Hermitage, Great Hermitage, Hermitage theater and New Hermitage. A big collection of Western European paintings that Catherine the Great purchased contribuited to open this museums. Its collection is over 3 million works from archaeological finds to works of applied art.
