[10:00~]A:Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia

National museum of 20th century art opened 1990. The museum has mainly Spanish art like, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. You are able to see the 20th century's most famous painting "Guernica" that painted about Spanish Civil War by Picasso. The nearest station of the museum is Atocha Station and Lavapiés Station.
It takes about 5 min walk from here to next destination.

Highly recommended for lunch is Museo del Jamon. It is specializes in hum dishes restaurant. It offer beer, sandwich, cured ham, paella and so on. Because it is very famous, it have branches in other place. Just try nice Spanish dishes!

CaixaForum Madrid is a museum and cultural center sponsored by Europe’s leading savings bank and financial institution, La Caixa. It held many events and exhibitions. Next to the contemporary building, there is a green wall designed by French botanist Patrick Blanc. You will enjoy not only art event but also architecture.

It is the main Spanish national art museum. it was opened to the public for the first time in 1819. Now it held more than 7000 art collections. The representative works of the museum is "The Clothed Maja", "The Nude Maja" and "The Third of May 1808" was painted by Goya.

It is private collections art museum. The collection started in the 1920s by Thyssen Bornemisza who German-Hungarian entrepreneur. You can see art collection from the 13th century to the late 20th century.

Sala Recoletos

It is an art gallery that managed by a non-profit institution FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE to contribute to the welfare of citizens and society. They have two art spaces, one on the "Sala Recoletos" at Art Walk. Another in the "Sala AZCA" on Paseo de la Castellana. You are able to enjoy to see temporary art exhibitions and major events in the art world.

Museo Sorolla

It was a home of a Spanish painter, Joaquín Sorolla. After he passed away, it converted into a museum that can see his work. His most typical works are characterized by a dexterous representation of the people and landscape under the sunlight. Like that artist, this museum bloom with light.

Museo Cerralbo

It is private collection's art museum. The owner was 17th Marquis of Cerralbo and aristocrat, Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa. After his death, it became a museum. You are able to enjoy to see about 50,000 his collections.

Museo Lazaro Galdiano

It is a private art collections museum. It was the residence of José Lázaro Galdiano who is a Spanish financier, journalist, publisher and art collector. At the time of his death, he bequeathed his collection to a foundation. You are able to see over 12,000 items mostly from the Old Master and Romantic periods.
