It is the church founded around 1160 of the Sicilian city of Palermo and was rebuilt several times over the centuries: the main façade is in Baroque style. Originally dedicated to Mary Magdalene. This church holds the relics of the patron saint who was at the time one of the most important bishops in town. The interior has a nave with two aisles. The naked walls are faced by spolia columns with Byzantine style arcades. The pavement is the original one and has a splendid mosaic decoration. Also original is the main altar.
