Let's stroll the maze-like Old Quarter and shop.

Wondering what to do during your stay in Hanoi? Why don't we take a stroll and shop in the Old Quarter?
As far as you know the old town is packed side-by-side shops having the same features.
Now, I will introduce some of the streets which tourists are likely to enjoy shopping and strolling.

Lo Su St., Nguyen Huu Huan St. - Restaurants

There are many restaurants famous for their local food.
You can enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine at the very cheap price.

Hang Dau St. - Sandals and Shoes

Hang Dau is famous for its shoes and sandals on display. Here you can find any kinds of footwear you like.
This street lies to the East side of Hoan Kiem lake, beside the Soldiers Monuments and nearby Thang Long Water Puppet Theater.
Expect to haggle it hard!

Dinh Liet St. - Souvenirs

There are many good shops offering souvenirs and accessories.
You might be able to negotiate the price.

Hang Bac St. - Currency exchange and Travel agencies

There are many gold and silver jewelry shops on Hang Bac Street, intersecting Dinh Liet St. You can go there for currency exchange.
Since travel agencies has increased in recent years, it has become convenient for travelers.

Tu Tich St. - Fruits

Juice and cut fruit are sold.
Enjoy many kinds of delicious fresh fruits in Vietnam!

Hang Vai St. - Bamboo products

Hang Vai street is now home to the bamboo trade.
Shops on Hang Vai Street mainly sell domestically-made bamboo products such as ladders, imitation bamboo trees, restaurant tables and chairs and so on.
You can also see the artisans at work on their products and the processes involved.
