Mykonos is the most famous island of the Cyclades, Greece and one of the world's most popular holiday resorts. According to mythology, Mykonos was formed from the petrified bodies of giants killed by Hercules. And the island took its name from the grandson of Apollo, “Mykonos”. Mykonos has been welcoming visitors for over half a century.

The Mykonos windmills are iconic feature of the island. They were primarily used to mill wheat. The windmills can be seen from every point of the village of Mykonos.
