Collection of medieval Italian painting and sculpture

The Avignon Little Palace Museum stands aside Rocher des Doms and Palace of Popes. It originally served as a bishop's palace during the 14th and 15th centuries. It houses a number of collection of frescoes, sculptures and Italian religious paintings from the 13th to 16th centuries. Among celebrated Italian painters such as Botticelli, Carpaccio and Giovanni di Paolo, especially a work by Botticelli "Virgin and child" attracts visitors. Renaissance paintings of the Avignon school is also interesting.
