Let's enjoy a solemn atmosphere.

A must-see attraction of Phnom Penh. The Palace, was first built in 1866 by King Norodom. It was wooden at the time.
The current building was designed by the French in 1919.
It is used as a private residence, and for official duties of the King and Queen Shihamoni.
It is not possible to see all of the building, but it is possible to see the building up close, and also enter the front yard.
Important events such as the coronation of the King, and the King's birthday, are also held here.

There is an interesting display of daily necessities used in the royal palace.
Do not forget that there is a dress code, so no exposed skin, i.e. no short pants or tank tops.
Photography in the Throne Room is prohibited. Note that there are also restricted areas. Also note that at lunch time there is no admission.
