The bridge connecting ground and the heavens.

This is a temple given to God Shiva for Hinduism at the mid-first century by Udayadityavarman II . It is located right next to Royal Palace of Angkor Thom.
Baphuon means "the illegitimate child". As a pyramid type temple consisting of three levels, it would become the model of the Baphuon style.
By the 20th century, most of the temple had almost collapsed, but repairs were started in 1960.
However, there was a period where repair was interrupted by the forces of the Khmer Rouge, the current state was finished in 2011, it took 51 years.

Raised causeway

When you enter at the east gate, there is a raised causeway for about 200m to a temple .
The causeway is said to connect the ground to heaven.
When the quantity of water increases, the causeway seems to float.
You can enjoy good scenery, including this raised causeway, from the temple top.

Reclining Buddha

There is a reclining Buddha statue approximately 70m long, made late in the 15th century.
It is hard to recognize it from the photograph, but it is the composition of Buddha lying, with an arm as a pillow.
You cannot climb here as a tourist, but can you look from a distance.
