The royal palace

Plaça del Rei (King's Square) is a 14th-century medieval public square. It was the official royal residence of the Catalan counts from the 13th to the early 15th centuries. The building is predominantly Gothic style, although the base of the building features Visigothic and Romanesque elements. If you visit here, please drop by the Barcelona City History Museum (MUHBA). You can learn about Barcelona history more. the museum is near the southeast side of the square.
