Wat Trimit which is located at end of Chinatown in Bangkok the temple of golden buddha. Because it is the world's largest solid gold statue.


The statue made of over 60% pure gold, three meters high and weighing five and a half tons, it was covered in stucco to protect it from the invading Burmese in the eighteenth century. Nobody noticed that it made of gold until people moved the statue.
